Forgive me for saying this but, probably my least favorite decade for body-shaming thus far . Don’t get me wrong, I loved the entire “grunge” movement, but I’ll just never understand how “heroine chic” became the forefront of the perfect female body… but hey, that’s just me! and therefore the women were still beautiful none the less.In the 1990s, models got drastically thinner. Kate Moss’ waif-like appearance in her 1993 Klein campaigns coined the term “heroin chic” — pale skin, angular bone structure and very thin limbs were in fashion.
Moss has famously said, “Nothing tastes nearly as good as skinny feels.”
